The 11 am forecast track from the National Hurricane Center shifted a little to the north as expected, but local impacts from the storm system listed in the previous post remain unchanged. Showery rains will be heavy at times this afternoon. Latest radar trends look like there will be a fairly quick cut off to most the rain between 4 and 7 pm in Marion County and 5 to 8 pm in Dillon and Marlboro counties. Still will be a few scattered showers after that. Winds will be gusty at times with a few gusts of 30 to 40 mph possible.
Here is the latest satellite loop. Any true center of circulation of a tropical nature is hard to find and what ever center there is looks to be coming onshore. That means the chance of Potential Tropical Cyclone 8 becoming a named tropical storm is gone.

The updated forecast track from NHC is below.
