Shower chances increase tomorrow and linger into the weekend; Wary eye on the SE coast early next week

Mostly cloudy skies tonight and not as cool as recent nights. Lows 67 to 71. Tomorrow will stay mostly cloudy with a chance of scattered showers and thundershowers. I'm not looking for a big washout, though. Highs 78 to 82. Still mostly cloudy Saturday and Sunday with a couple of showers still possible.. Highs again 78 to 82. Lows at night 66 to 70.

Early next week we will have to watch for and area of low pressure to take shape off the Carolina coast. If low pressure does develop, there is a chance it could develop in a weak subtropical or tropical system. The NHC has this area as one of the places they are watching for possiblle development. Development or not, a long on shore flow off the Atlantic into the Carolinas with raise rain chances here Monday and Tuesday. Other areas on the outlook map include what's left of Francine over Mississippi, a weak disturbance near the Windward Islands that is not expected to develop much, and tropical depression 7 far out in the Atlantic.
