Nice weather wlll continue for our Wednesday and Wednesday night, then the chance of showers will begin to increase later in the week. Partly sunny Wednesday. After a nice, cool early morning, the afternoon will be pleasantly warm. High temperatures for Dillon and Marion Counties 81 to 85. Partly cloudy Wednesday night. Lows 62 to 66. Clouds will be on the increase Thursday. Highs again 81 to 85. RIght now Thursday evening looks dry, then a chance of showers creeps into the forecast by Friday and the weekend. It doesn't look like a big washout, but I would expect a few showers to be around, so we will need to factor that in if you are making outdoor plans. Highs each day 80 to 84. Lows 64 to 68.
In the tropics, the main focus right now is on Hurricane Francine. As of the 11 pm advisory this evening, Hurricane Francine was located about 295 miles southwest of Morgan City, Lousiana. Maximum sustained winds are 75 mph. Movement is to the NE at 10 mph. It is expected Hurricane Francine will strengthen overnight and tomorrow, and also begin to move at a faster forward speed. That would bring the center of Francine to a landfall along the central Louisiana coastline late Wednesday afternoon or Wednesday evening. Maximum winds at landfall will probably be between 90 and 100 mph. Here is the latest satellite loop and the forecast track from the 11 pm advisory.
