Not Quite as Hot, Rain Chances Stay Slim

After high temperatures in the middle and upper 90s yesterday, this afternoon will be just a touch cooler. Look for partly sunny skies and again only a small chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs in Dillon, Marion and Marlboro counties 89 to 93. Best chance of seeing a thunderstorm pop up will be in Marlboro county.
Monday through Wednesday will be mainly sunny and warm. Highs stay 89 to 93. Rain chances may finally pick up a little later in the week. That partly depends on the evolvement of a tropical low pressure area expected to form near the Bahamas. I’ll have a deeper discussion on that tomorrow. Farmers especially certainly need the rain.
