Our warmer than normal weather pattern will continue this week. (Actually, even the longer range forecasts are showing above normal temperatures overall into the first half of July) The best news in the forecast is that the chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms is higher this week. Hopefully many of us will pick up at least a little rain...farmers and gardeners really need it.
Today will be partly sunny, hot and humid. There will some scattered thunderstorms popping up in the afternoon. The Storm Prediction Center has some of us in their "marginal" risk of severe weather today...roughly for areas along and east of I-95. High temperatures today in Dillon, Marion and Marlboro counties 93 to 97.

Partly sunny, hot, humid days continue the rest of the week. Each day will have at least a small chance of a scattered storm or two. It looks like the best chance of storms may be on Thursday. Highs each day 93 to 97.
The tropics are quiet right now, with no development expected the next couple of days.
