High Humidity, but a Break from Extreme Heat

A very humid pattern will continue for the Pee Dee for the next several days. That will lead to a scattering of showers and thundestorms developing each day for the weekend and through at least Wednesday next week, bringing more welcomed rain. The afternoons will very warm, but nothing unusual for late July. Highs each day will be 87 to 91. Nighttime low temperatures will be 71 to 75.
Total rain in this type of pattern can vary quite a bit from location to location, depending who gets the heavier storms. The European model suggests most places will get at least an inch or two over the next five days, and I believe some of us will see a good bit more.

The tropics are quiet with no new systems expected to form across the tropical Atlantic the next five days.
